Yeah, it wasn't right for her to be here without a parent, not at her age. It's a big relief.

[A bit uneasily.] I don't think he liked me very much, though.

That's just how he is... I didn't think he liked me much at first either.

Really? [That's a bit comforting, but she doesn't sound totally convinced.] He wasn't really happy when I said I could take care of myself. I just didn't want him worrying, but... it seemed to make him mad.
